Rating of the best wine cabinets

Vestfrost VFWC 150 Z2

Rating: 4.9

Vestfrost VFWC 150 Z2

By far the best of the presented wine cabinets is the Vestfrost VFWC 150 Z2 model. With the exception of the design, absolutely everything is perfect in it: the capacity, the efficiency, the level of noise emitted, and even the manufacturability of the design. The total volume of the two chambers is 147 liters, and all this is occupied by 5 large wooden shelves with space for 46 bottles of excellent wine. The temperature is controlled by a compressor in the range from 5 to 18 degrees Celsius.

The electronics with push-button switches and a display are responsible for controlling the cooling modes. To fit the wardrobe into the frame of the room, you can move the opening door to the other side. In addition, there is a locking system to keep the contents safe from children (or vice versa). The ventilation is equipped with a carbon filter that absorbs dust particles and purifies the air from pollution. All this has a positive effect on the safety of wines. Oh yes, almost forgot! Despite the large dimensions, the noise level of this locker is 39 dB. Be sure to look at it if you have a large collection of good wines.

Advantages

  • very roomy (46 bottles);
  • the presence of a carbon filter in the ventilation system;
  • the ability to outweigh the door;
  • protection from children;
  • high-quality and reliable assembly.

Caso WineDuett Touch 21

Rating: 4.8

CASO WINEDUETT TOUCH 21

Very interesting and sophisticated wine storage box from Caso. It is expensive, but at the same time it is an extremely interesting model to study. Its design uses 7 metal shelves with 3 recesses for bottles on each. 2 temperature zones allow you to place several varieties of wine and select unique storage modes for them. Responsible for control electronics with a touch screen.

The temperature in Caso WineDuett Touch 21 is adjustable from 7 to 18 degrees Celsius. The energy consumption level corresponds to class B and is 168 kWh per year. In general, this is optimal, given the capacity and complexity in organizing two-chamber storage. But the noise level let us down: at the moments when the ventilation is turned on, it reaches 45 dB. However, this small drawback is compensated by the above advantages, as well as the presence of an anti-vibration system.

Advantages

  • maintaining the temperature with a minimum error in the volume of the chamber;
  • attractive design;
  • the presence of an anti-vibration system.

Flaws

  • quite noisy;
  • high price.

Cellar Private CP021-2T

Rating: 4.7

Cellar Private CP021-2T

Cellar’s two-zone wine cabinet holds 21 classic-sized bottles. It is made of metal with a tinted glass door and weighs as much as 18.5 kilograms. The reason for this is simple: to create separate storage areas, you need to complicate the design a little.

The minimum and maximum temperatures in the chambers of the cabinet are 7 and 18 degrees Celsius, respectively. The total volume is 58 liters, and in terms of useful use, Private CP021-2T loses a little to Vestfrost VFWC 28 Z1. But there is a touchscreen display with electronic temperature control, and the price, despite the complexity of the design and the materials used, has increased by no more than 25%. The noise level does not exceed 32 dB and it is just a great purchase for your home.

Advantages

  • acceptable price;
  • 2 separate storage rooms;
  • convenient touch control;
  • low noise level.

Flaws

  • not quite rational use of internal volume.

Kitfort KT-2404

Rating: 4.7

Kitfort KT-2404

Another representative of the Kitfort company, but with two equivalent temperature control zones. The cabinet holds 12 bottles, harmoniously distributed over 33 liters of total chamber volume. The temperature in them is regulated in the range from 8 to 18 degrees Celsius using push-button switches, and all information is displayed.

Despite the good layout and the use of wood as shelves, in all other respects the locker is not very optimal. For example, it consumes 183 kWh of energy per year and emits 41 dB of noise. This is quite a lot, and therefore it is advisable to place it outside the bedroom or hall. KT-2404 is the very case when the functionality and characteristics are fully reflected in the price. However, this does not make it bad, but simply adds a few specific operating conditions.

Advantages

  • capacity;
  • low price;
  • good build quality.

Flaws

  • high noise level;
  • sufficiently large power consumption, despite the small volume.

Vestfrost VFWC 28 Z1

Rating: 4.6

VESTFROST VFWC 28 Z1

A more serious wine cabinet with an internal volume of 62 liters and 28 places for placing wines. It is inexpensive, but at the same time it combines all the basic functions of a normal climate storage. The temperature in it is regulated in a small range from 12 to 18 degrees Celsius, which corresponds to the normal climatic zone. The control is not touch, but convenient, on mechanical push-button switches. The temperature zone is the same, and here it should be understood that inside there will still be a small difference in heat from top to bottom.

The body of the Vestfrost VFWC 28 Z1 is made of metal, but the shelves inside are wooden. On the one hand, this is an interesting solution that allowed to reduce the cost of the cabinet. On the other hand, the durability of such shelves is questioned. Still, there is moisture inside and with minimal damage to the top layer, the material can become damp and loosen. The undoubted advantage is the noise level of 25 dB. And in general: the installation turned out to be what you need!

Advantages

  • low noise level;
  • large chamber capacity;
  • acceptable price;
  • decent build quality.

Flaws

  • preservation of wood floors.

Kitfort KT-2402

Rating: 4.5

Kitfort KT-2402

The wine cooler from Kitfort relies on beautiful, modern design and convenient climate control. Its volume is 35 liters, designed to accommodate 8 bottles of wine in a standard bottle. Cooling here is thermoelectric with temperature control from 8 to 18 degrees Celsius.

For a year of operation, Kitfort KT-2402 consumes 121 kWh of electricity per year. Inside it, conditions are created that correspond to the indicators of a normal and subnormal climate. The noise level is no more than 25 dB, and this is an excellent result by the standards of wine cabinets.

Advantages

  • 11.5 kilograms of weight;
  • beautiful modern design with blue backlighting;
  • low noise level;
  • attractive price.

Flaws

  • no humidity control.

Cavanova CV-004

Rating: 4.5

CAVANOVA CV-004

The cabinet Cavanova CV-004 works both for heating and cooling, while consuming a lot of electrical energy. Its thermoregulation is based on the Peltier effect — plates are used in the design, when current is applied to which one side is cooled and the other is heated. In this regard, the efficiency of the refrigerator may be lower than that of absorption plants.

The locker is designed to accommodate a total of 4 bottles of wine. It seems to be small, but even vessels of non-standard shape fit there. The shelves are metal and the temperature is controlled by pushbutton switches. The total internal volume of the model is only 12 liters.

Advantages

  • you can put bottles of different shapes;
  • the presence of an anti-vibration system and humidity control;
  • large and easy to use display.

Flaws

  • high price;
  • small internal volume;
  • high power consumption.

Tesler WCV-080

Rating: 4.4

Tesler WCV-080

Tesler’s gray metal wine cabinet holds up to 8 bottles of wine and has an internal volume of 21 liters. The temperature in it is maintained by electronics in the range from 7 to 18 degrees Celsius. Its indicator is placed on the display. The circulation and distribution of cold air should occur throughout the chamber, however, some areas deviate from the set temperature by a couple of degrees. The reason for this is the presence of corners and the disturbed movement of the air flow. However, this is not critical and does not affect the shelf life of wines.

The energy consumption of the Tesler WCV-080 corresponds to class A+ and is approximately 110 kWh per year. We recommend purchasing this wine cabinet for those who do not want to overpay for the design.

Advantages

  • high-quality budget wardrobe;
  • low noise level of the cooling system;
  • the presence of a temperature indicator;
  • 3 shelves for placing wines.

Flaws

  • not detected.

Dunavox DAT‑6.16C

Rating: 4.3

DUNAVOX DAT-6.16C

Single section metal cabinet designed to store 6 bottles of wine. It is electronically controlled and consumes no more than 97 kWh of energy per year. The temperature regime throughout the chamber is uniform, however, in the corners, the value can fluctuate within 2 degrees Celsius. The total volume of the section is 16 liters.

Dunavox DAT‑6.16C belongs to the SN climate class, which corresponds to a sub-normal climate. It has a display that shows the current temperature, so you can keep track of it very easily. The noise level during operation does not exceed 38 dB — this is not the best indicator in the segment, but it will definitely not annoy you.

Advantages

  • convenient and compact cabinet;
  • temperature indicator;
  • low power consumption.

Flaws

  • cooling in a small temperature range.
