Russian retail chains “M. Video and Eldorado announced the start of sales of foldable smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, which were introduced last week. And since the South Korean company suspended deliveries of its devices to Russia in March, these new products, apparently, will appear on the shelves thanks to parallel imports.
Now retailers are asking customers to leave contact information and promise to inform about the arrival of gadgets. There is no exact date for the start of sales yet, but Izvestia’s sources believe that the premiere should be expected only in September.
“M. Video” and “Eldorado” did not disclose the prices of smartphones, but GalaxyStore did it. Z Flip 4 in it will cost 119,990 rubles, and Z Fold 4 – 169,990 rubles. True, later these price tags disappeared from the site, so it is likely that they can still be changed.
By comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will start at $1,799 in other countries, and the Z Flip 4 will start at $999. At the current exchange rate of the Central Bank, this is approximately 109,000 and 61,000 rubles. The difference is palpable.
