On August 10, Samsung showed its new compact clamshell Flip, and today, on August 11, Motorola. It’s about the new generation of Razr. Now it is even more powerful and refined device.
Unlike the previous model equipped with Snapdragon 765G, the new smartphone received the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It is complemented by fast LPDDR5 RAM (up to 16 GB) and UFS 3.1 storage (up to 512 GB).
The main display of the device is made using P-OLED technology, has a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and supports a refresh rate of 144 Hz. It is now devoid of “bangs” and has a diagonal of 6.7 inches. Top in the center is a small round hole for a 32 MP selfie camera.
The small external display – measuring 2.7 inches at a resolution of 800 × 573 pixels – is noticeably larger than that of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 (1.9 inches). It can be used as a viewfinder, as well as to check notifications, quick replies, or even games.
The body of the smartphone is made of metal. A thinner and stronger hinge of the device allows you to fold it at different angles. On the right side is a fingerprint scanner. “Chin” under the main screen is now gone. Thickness when folded – 16.99 mm, unfolded – 7.62 mm. The weight was 198 grams.
The main camera is dual, with a 50 MP main sensor, supplemented by OIS, and a 13 MP ultra-wide angle, which can also be used for macro photography.
Autonomous operation is provided by a 3,500 mAh battery with support for 33 W wired charging via USB-C. Otherwise: stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, linear vibration motor, dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS and NFC.
The device is controlled by the Android 12 OS with the MyUI 4.0 shell and support for the Ready For 3.5 function, which allows you to connect your smartphone to an external screen in PC mode. The price of the most affordable version of the smartphone with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory was 5,999 yuan (≈54,100 rubles), that is, the Razr 2022 was cheaper than the Galaxy Z Flip4.
