The iPhone 14 models went on sale just a few days ago, and insiders are already sharing details about next year’s smartphone lineup. So, according to well-known analyst Ross Young, the Dynamic Island cutout will appear in all devices of the iPhone 15 series.
True, this does not mean that the entire quartet of Apple smartphones in 2023 will have identical screen panels. Yang points out that the base iPhone 15 will still feature a lower quality OLED panel without Always On Display support and a 120Hz refresh rate. This probably applies to the larger iPhone 15 Plus, if there is one.
The transition from a notch to a new format notch, which is played with the system interface in an original way, can make the base models of the iPhone 15 much more attractive to buyers than the iPhone 14 this year. Dynamic Island already supports dozens of different scenarios and applications, and the list will only grow over time.
