Equipment The packaging design of the Razer Naga Trinity is minimalist and pleasing to the eye. Black main panels and green sides are a nice combination. The only thing that can be called a specific feature is a soft loop that is used to hang the box on the display case.
The front shows the mouse itself, as well as all of its interchangeable side panels. In addition, on the front panel there is a manufacturer’s logo and a Chroma badge, which indicates the presence of RGB lighting.

The company considered that this is a sensor, three sidewalls with keys and the ability to set additional commands.
Inside, the mouse and other components are protected by a reusable plastic blister from external damage.

Design and construction features The body shape of the Razer Naga Trinity has already become standard for the manufacturer, but there are still differences from the previous generation, although they are not noticeable at first glance.
In the Naga Hex V2, the top panel was a bit squeezed between the sidewalls, but here it rushed up. In general, the rest of the elements remained the same.
The classic sidebar of the Razer Naga Trinity contains twelve buttons arranged in 4 rows of three. These keys are quite tight, so you don’t have to worry about accidental presses.
This is especially true in view of the lack of a support platform for the thumb, because when lifting the mouse, you have to hold on to the buttons. The sound of operation of all additional keys is very quiet.
The caps are all located differently, which helps to learn to distinguish the buttons tactilely. Nevertheless, it will take quite a long time to learn how to use the panel, where there are as many as 12 keys.
The panel is attached to the mouse with two magnets, the fastening is quite tight, there are no gaps. In order to unfasten the sidewall, you need to pull the recesses in the base. The good news is that it is possible to hot-swap panels without turning off the mouse.
A sidebar with two large buttons for those who value convenience over functionality. Suitable for fans of FPS games. The keys here are pressed with medium effort and quite quietly. And for the thumb there is a special rubberized platform with recesses.
A compromise option is a panel with seven keys arranged in a circle, and in the center there is a platform for the thumb. They are easy to find and remember which one is responsible for what, especially if you set it up yourself.
On the stern is the Razer logo, which lights up along with the wheel. On the right side there is a rubberized platform, and the wheel is very hard. The shape of the case is built so that it is convenient for any palm to hold the mouse.
Functionality The mouse is configured through the third version of the Razer Synapse software.
This application offers a standard set of functions for this model: key customization, sensor configuration and calibration, macro editor and Chroma Studio utility for backlight control. The keys are programmed for each panel separately.
This model has a Razer 5G optical sensor with a maximum resolution of 16,000 dpi.
This sensor began to appear already in the models of the second half of 2017 and managed to prove itself well. Works flawlessly, resolution is adjustable.
Compared to the second version of the software, it is possible to create custom profiles that are stored in the mouse’s memory.
And in order to switch these profiles, a special button is provided on the bottom of the device. In general, all the functionality of previous versions has been preserved, but for some reason the number of ready-made functions has become smaller.
Testing The Razer Naga Trinity feels good with any grip, even with the palm of your hand, even with your fingers.
The material from which the case is made is quite resistant to dirt and, like the rubber inserts, it is not difficult to clean it with a damp cloth or napkin.
When working with a mouse, the hand does not fog up. There are almost no backlashes, and the gaps do not catch your eye, which is even surprising, given the presence of interchangeable panels.
By the way, the panels with the main buttons are made simply at the highest level. The wheel in operation, unfortunately, did not please, too hard scrolling and backlash.
The connection cable is soft and pleasant. The legs are not slippery, and inertia is reduced to nothing.
The backlight looks pretty good. The only pity is that there is no individual color setting for each side key.
The mouse sensor has already proven itself, and in this model is also exceptional. There is no judder or problems with separation. The cursor doesn’t move at all.
As for interchangeable panels, everyone can choose according to their taste and task. But the 12-key version is very difficult to get used to. So, in most cases, functionality is sacrificed for convenience.
