Why do you need micellar water? Application rules

[ad_1]

Micellar water was created in France as an alternative to washing with hard tap water. It was possible to buy the product only in pharmacies. Today, the product has become widespread, but is still a good option for a pharmacy offer.

Magic micelles for problem skin

Gently removing makeup is not as easy as it seems. It is especially important to regularly and efficiently carry out the cleansing procedure for skin prone to rashes. Micellar water can be a good helper in this matter.

Originally from France

The discovery of micellar water belongs to the French pharmacist and founder of the famous cosmetic brand Jean-Noel Torel. He believed that tap water was too rough and not suitable even for washing the face, and even more so for removing make-up, when additional efforts were required to cleanse the skin. The world saw the result of his work in 1995, when an alternative to the traditional combination “make-up remover + water cleanser” entered the market — micellar water.

Operating principle

Micellar water belongs to the class of surface-active substances (surfactants), which are responsible for the cleansing ability of detergents and hygiene products (shampoo, gels, washing powders, soaps). The main active component of any micellar water is micelles. These are compounds of esters of fatty acids. Micelles have a two-sided structure: one side of the molecule (hydrophobic part) repels water molecules, the other (hydrophilic part), on the contrary, attracts them. In contact with the skin, micelles begin active work — they attract the smallest particles of fat, dirt, make-up products and quickly remove them.

Micellar Capabilities

The quality of tap water still leaves much to be desired in many regions of our country. Poor cleaning and high mineralization can damage the skin’s protective barrier, leaving it vulnerable and susceptible to infection. And the skin itself after washing looks dry and dull.

Unlike tap water, micellar water delicately removes impurities, moisturizes, tones and mattifies the epidermis, treats mucous membranes with care, which is especially important for those who wear contact lenses. It is suitable for all skin types, including problematic, and for all ages.

Problem skin cleansing

It is especially important to properly remove makeup from skin prone to inflammation. Regular and thorough cleansing is the key to preventing acne. Often, young problem skin has enlarged pores and increased sebum secretion. In order to prevent the growth of bacteria against this background and to remove impurities qualitatively, girls and boys use active detergents that break the lipid layer of the skin. And micellar water gently removes impurities on problem skin without drying it out or causing a feeling of tightness.

For example, for oily and combination skin, micellar water is suitable, which additionally includes zinc, bioavailable sulfur and salicylic acid. Micelles gently cleanse and remove makeup, salicylic acid helps reduce skin imperfections, zinc eliminates oily sheen, giving a matte finish and gives a feeling of freshness, and bioavailable sulfur improves skin condition.

To remove make-up for women and young girls with sensitive skin, micellar water with the addition of grape seed oil and vitamin E, which soften and nourish the skin, is suitable.

Application rules

Cleansing with micellar water begins with the area around the eyes. You need to take a cotton pad moistened with micellar water, put it on the eyelid and wait a few seconds until the cosmetics dissolve, then remove the makeup without opening your eyes. Thus, the product will not get on the delicate mucous membrane of the eyelid.

Then wipe your face with a cotton pad, no need to press, micelles work without it. It is advisable to use a separate disk for each area of the face. Cleaning is continued until there are no visible contaminants on the surface of the disc. After cleansing, you can apply a moisturizer.
