How to cook in an air grill and how to use it (video)

[ad_1]

Lovers of delicious meat or fans of a healthy diet will need an air grill (see how to choose it). In addition, it has a huge plus — you can cook several dishes at the same time, provided that the smells do not interrupt each other. You will learn more about this kitchen unit below.

What can be cooked in an air fryer?

In an air grill, you can cook everything — from first courses to desserts. Stew, bake, dry vegetables — everything is within the power of this device, as well as bake pies, bagels and pizza, cook jam directly in jars, dry fruits, greens and mushrooms, darken food.

Of course, we can say with absolute certainty that lovers of meat delicacies will enjoy dishes from it. Here you will get the most tender chicken meat, barbecue, cutlets with a golden crust, smoked fish, baked meat in foil. And all this is cooked with a minimum amount of oil, but keep in mind that the products must be manually turned over to the other side.

What utensils to use in the air fryer?

Many owners of this appliance choose dishes based on microwave containers, but in an air grill the temperature reaches 280 ° C, so it is forbidden to use a container with low heat resistance. Completely refuse plastic and wooden utensils.

An equally important role in choosing dishes is played by what dish you are going to cook:

  • To bake vegetables with meat or cook soup, you will need ceramic pots.
  • For frying meat, glass containers are selected.
  • For baking bakery products, metal baking sheets or trays with a non-stick coating or ordinary ones for a simple oven are used.

Unlike the same microwaves, it is allowed to use aluminum utensils, including foil, metal, clay, high-quality silicone containers.

So, having bought an air grill, you need to purchase utensils, adhering to three recommendations:

  1. Be sure to pay attention to heat resistance and thermal conductivity before buying containers. Utensils should be made of materials that can withstand high temperatures. Aluminum and heat-resistant glass have the highest thermal conductivity, therefore, in such dishes, food will cook much faster. But if you stew or bake foods in clay pots, then you will have to be patient, since it will take quite a lot of time to cook due to the low thermal conductivity of the material.
  2. Of great importance is the thickness of the walls of dishes. If you want to get fried pieces with a golden crust, cook them in a thin-walled container. More juicy dishes will turn out in thick-walled dishes, but they will also take more time to cook.
  3. The containers should not exceed 25 cm in diameter, otherwise the heat flows inside the appliance will spread unevenly, which will not have the best effect on the readiness of the dish. It will be either undercooked or overcooked.

Cooking meat dishes in an air grill

To prepare cutlets, baked meat, ribs, steaks or chops, you will need grills, baking sheets, skewers and foil.

Kebab

The meat is first marinated according to your favorite recipe. The main thing is to cut the meat into pieces so that they can be placed on skewers. As soon as the meat is marinated, it is strung on skewers and placed in an electrical appliance, where the temperature is set to 230 ° C and the fan is turned on at medium speed.

To form a golden crust, the kebab must be turned over every 20 minutes.

Cooking barbecue in air grill is shown in the video:

cutlets

Juicy soft cutlets with a crispy golden crust will turn out in an electrical appliance. When baking cutlets, a tray is placed in the bowl of the appliance, on which excess fat from the cutlets will drain.

The formed raw products are laid out on a grate, previously lubricated with vegetable oil, and placed in the center of the appliance. Set the timer for 30 minutes and cook at 230°C.

Pork baked in foil

Having prepared a piece of meat (it is rubbed with salt and spices, several cuts are made), it is wrapped in foil and baked in an air grill at 230 ° C. After 15 minutes, change the temperature regime, reducing the temperature to 170 ° C, and continue to bake for another half hour.

The recipe for pork in the air grill is presented in the video:

How to cook chicken in an air fryer?

It is necessary to choose a whole chicken carcass weighing 1300–1700 g, which is prepared as follows:

  1. To make the chicken bake evenly, make several cuts along the breast.
  2. While the appliance is warming up, the chicken is rubbed with salt, pepper and spices. For this dish you will need a minimum amount of seasonings at your discretion.
  3. In the tray where the carcass will be baked, you can add light beer to make the meat more tender and juicy.
  4. The chicken is placed breast side up on the middle rack and roasted at 250°C with a high fan speed.
  5. 10 minutes before the end, reduce the fan speed to medium.

In total, the dish is cooked for about 35–45 minutes. An indicator of the readiness of the dish will be a clear liquid flowing out of the chicken after being pierced with a sharp knife or a toothpick — if a pinkish liquid flows out, then the carcass is cooked for a few more minutes. You don’t need to turn the chicken.

Chicken with a golden crust can be prepared according to the recipe from the following video:

In order for kupats to turn out juicy and with a light, appetizing and fried crust, they are not easy to bake in an air grill (in this case they can turn out dry), but they are fried and stewed in pots.

Raw sausages are first fried on a medium grill, pre-greased with vegetable oil at a high fan speed and a temperature of 250 ° C. To prevent them from bursting, small punctures are made at the ends to release steam. Depending on the degree of roasting, it will take 15–20 minutes. As soon as the sausages are browned, they are transferred to a pot, chopped garlic, tomato paste, salt and spices to your taste are added there.
