But if you stew or bake foods in clay pots, then you will have to be patient, since it will take quite a lot of time to cook due to the low thermal conductivity of the material.
- Of great importance is the thickness of the walls of dishes. If you want to get fried pieces with a golden crust, cook them in a thin-walled container. More juicy dishes will turn out in thick-walled dishes, but they will also take more time to cook.
- The containers should not exceed 25 cm in diameter, otherwise the heat flows inside the appliance will spread unevenly, which will not have the best effect on the readiness of the dish. It will be either undercooked or overcooked.
Cooking meat dishes in an air grill
To prepare cutlets, baked meat, ribs, steaks or chops, you will need grills, baking sheets, skewers and foil.

How to cook chicken in an air fryer?
It is necessary to choose a whole chicken carcass weighing 1300–1700 g, which is prepared as follows:
- To make the chicken bake evenly, make several cuts along the breast.
- While the appliance is warming up, the chicken is rubbed with salt, pepper and spices. For this dish you will need a minimum amount of seasonings at your discretion.
- In the tray where the carcass will be baked, you can add light beer to make the meat more tender and juicy.
- The chicken is placed breast side up on the middle rack and roasted at 250°C with a high fan speed.
- 10 minutes before the end, reduce the fan speed to medium.
In total, the dish is cooked for about 35–45 minutes. An indicator of the readiness of the dish will be a clear liquid flowing out of the chicken after being pierced with a sharp knife or a toothpick — if a pinkish liquid flows out, then the carcass is cooked for a few more minutes. You don’t need to turn the chicken.

How to cook fish in an air fryer?
Fish in an air grill is fried on a wire rack, baked in foil or cooked in batter.
Fish in foil

- Rustic. Potatoes are peeled and cut into slices. Spread in a deep container, salt, pepper and sprinkle with garlic — mix everything well, leave for 5 minutes. The grate is greased with vegetable oil and the potatoes are laid out on it. Cook for 25 minutes at 250°C.
- Baked. New potatoes are thoroughly washed and cut into 2 or 4 parts. Soak it in saline for 15 minutes. Lay the potatoes on a wire rack, sprinkle them with vegetable oil and bake at 220 ° C for about 30 minutes.
- Fried. The potatoes are washed, peeled and cut into slices. Vegetable oil, herbs, spices, salt are mixed in a deep container and chopped potatoes are added. Leave everything for 20 minutes so that the pieces of vegetable are marinated. Then they are laid out on the lower grill of the air grill and cooked for 35 minutes at a temperature of 200 ° C and an average fan speed.
- In “uniform”. This is one of the fastest ways to prepare a side dish. The potatoes are thoroughly washed, several punctures are made in each potato and laid out whole in a deep bowl. Sprinkle it with spices, vegetable oil and salt, leave for 30 minutes. Then they are laid out on a wire rack and cooked at a high blowing speed and a temperature of 260 ° C.
French fries can be useful if cooked in an air grill according to this recipe:
- Potatoes are washed, peeled and cut into even bars, dried with a paper towel or cotton napkin.
- In a deep container, potatoes are mixed with salt and spices, then vegetable oil is added (3 tablespoons are enough for 1 kg of tubers) and mixed well again.
