St. George ribbon on May 9 — Why? For what? And why?

[ad_1]

The trend for this accessory appeared relatively recently, in 2005. Then the media were invited to distribute symbolic ribbons in honor of the celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. Since then, the action has become a tradition. But the St. George Ribbon itself appeared in the days of the Russian Empire. Simultaneously with the Order of St. George, which was the highest military award.

The colors on the modern ribbon correspond to the colors used on the order block for the medal “For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.”

The purpose of wearing the St. George ribbon on the chest on the left is memory. And to be more precise, the desire of the current generation not to let the new generation forget about those heroes who, at the cost of their lives, won a victory in a terrible war.

Wearing a St. George ribbon on your chest is the easiest way to declare that: “We remember! We are proud!”

Now there are many different variations of accessories with St. George’s ribbon. We offer metal badges with a bright design, which are conveniently attached to clothes along with the St. George ribbon.

Let’s support the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in memory of them. “We are the heirs of the Great Victory!”
